Healthy Way is the Juicy Way

Are you going bananas over your healthy diet plan? Have you considered trying different types of diet with your nutritionist but failed to implement it? Its time you try the juicing way.
What is Juicing?
Juicing does not mean the gulping down of cartons of “naturally preserved” fruit juice that adds to your taste as well as sugar levels in your body. Ideally, juicing is a diet which involves the drinking of lots of juice that is extracted from fresh fruits and vegetables. The juice diet helps you flush out toxins keeping you energized and rested with a radiating skin. This diet enables you to combine different flavours, especially in the case of vegetables which you would eventually want to skip in the raw form.
So, if you are all excited about the Juicy Diet it’s time we help you decide the best juicer for your healthy diet plan. Buying a good juicer is extremely crucial because you would not want to see your efforts go down the drain. The debate therefore is between opting for a centrifugal juicer or a cold pressed juicer.
Cold Pressed Juicer
The cold pressed juicer crushes the fruits and vegetables to get the maximum yield without losing out on its essential nutrients and minerals. It is high on enzymes and essential fibres, resulting in a glass full of healthy, pulpy, fresh juice. The cold pressed juice, first crushes and then presses the fruit to get the maximum juice yield thereby exposing the raw fruits and vegetables to minimum heat and almost zero oxidation ensuring that the juice produced is fresh, pure and nutrient-rich. The taste of the juice retains the actual goodness of the raw fruits and vegetables.
Centrifugal Juicer
The most commonly found. There is no dearth in the variety of centrifugal juicers available in the market. However, these juicers typically utilize metal blades which makes your juice lose out on the vital nutrients, making it less healthy than the drink that you would have achieved from a cold pressed juicer. The Centrifugal juicer is equipped with a mesh filter that separates the juice from the fruit’s flesh via the centrifugal force. This juicer generates a lot of heat which eventually destroys the enzymes in the fruits and vegetables rendering your juice devoid of the health benefits that it is supposed to ensure.
The Difference in a Glance

Centrifugal Juicer
Cold Pressed Juicer
Nutrients Quality
The juice produced loses out on the nutrients through the breakdown of enzymes due to the heating process.
The juice produced is fresh, pure and nutrient-rich, retaining the vital goodness of the fruits and vegetables.
Efficiency
The yield is low and the juicer is unable to break down nuts.
The juicer produces the maximum yield and helps you to enjoy your favourite milkshake with nuts.
Noise
It hurts the ears.
Quiet and peaceful.

Verdict: Go for the Cold Pressed Juicer and enjoy a cleansing, detoxing experience the natural way!

The Epic Difference Between Cold Press Juicer & Centrifugal Juicer

We have often wondered about this many times. So now let’s end the debate here and now. We all know that drinking fruit and vegetable juices is good for health. But what we don’t have a clue about is which type of juicer would the best for us. Finally, I have decided to look at the pros and cons of cold press juicer and centrifugal juicer. Initially most of the households had centrifugal juicers, even today many of the households still use this juicer.
The centrifugal juicer extracts juice in the traditional method i.e. via centrifugal force. Here are the pros of using a centrifugal juicer over a cold press juicer.
Pros
1.      Centrifugal juicers are very easy to clean.
2.      They are also relatively faster than the cold press juicers.
3.      You can put the fruits and vegetables in the juicer as it is, since they don’t have to be chopped or cut before being put in the juicer.
4.      They are usually great for juicing for smoothies of Apples, Pears, Celery, Oranges etc.
5.      Some of them are easy mobile to move around.
6.      They can be operated very easily.
7.      One of the most important pros is that they are very cheap as compared to cold press juicer.

Cons
1.      Fast blade action can heat up the machine, which in turn can make the juice foamy and oxidise quicker and destroy beneficial enzymes and nutrients in the juice.
2.      The juice extraction is not proper as there are some parts of juice left in the filters.
3.      They cannot be used for juicing leafy vegetables such as spinaches.
4.      The juice produced is also of very less quantity
5.      The sound of a centrifugal juicer is as much as a blender.
6.      The juicer creates a large amount of leftover in the form of pulp leading to a lot of wastage. These juicers are very Hard to clean.
7.      These juicers are worthless against nuts.
Now let’s look at the pros and cons of a cold press juicer.
Pros
1.      The juice contains more nutrients.
2.      No froth is formed only fresh juice is obtained.
3.      It extracts more juice than a centrifugal juicer.
4.      It functions very quietly.
5.      It produces lesser leftover pulp than centrifugal juicers.
6.      It Juices leafy veggies and nuts more efficiently than centrifugal
7.      More gratitude for the end result and the delicate process your juice has gone through
Cons
The only 2 cons that cold press juicer probably has is that it is costlier than centrifugal juicer and it takes more time to juice fruits and veggies. But if you are considering the health factor, there is no doubt which juicer is better.
